Elementary Teacher (4th Grade)
I graduated high school in 1988 from Copan Public Schools in Copan, Oklahoma. I attended NEO A&M College immediately after and earned an Associate’s degree. For the remainder of my schooling, I moved to Tahlequah and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University in the spring of 1993. I started my first teaching job in the fall of 1993.
I started teaching for Morris Public Schools in 2003. I was hired for a fourth grade position, and I am still teaching fourth grade. I am currently teaching ELA and science. I love my job so much. I feel very blessed to be a part of this school district and community. Eagle Pride!
My family includes my husband, Gabe Hayes, and our daughter, Erin Hayes. My husband is the Director of Operations for Bixby Public Schools. Erin is a nurse at Hillcrest, Utica Park Clinic. Erin is a 2016 graduate of Morris Public Schools. We also have two dogs and a grand dog, Leia, Obi, and Falcon.
When I am not teaching, I love being with my family. As a family we love spending time outdoors. We love camping, boating, hiking, taking jeep rides in the country and lounging in our backyard on the patio. Life is better on the patio.
